Recording Sessions in Rome for Independent Artists

Mike Sorrentino offers professional vocal and instrument recording sessions at his acoustically treated studio in Rome, Italy.

Sessions run at 40€ per hour, using a curated selection of dynamic and condenser microphones through an RME Fireface UCX interface with mastering-grade preamps, recording at sample rates from 44.1kHz up to 192kHz.

The Studio & Gear

  • Microphones: Shure SM57, Shure SM7B, Lewitt LCT 040 (matched stereo pair), Lewitt LCT 441 Flex, Neumann TLM 102

  • Interface: RME Fireface UCX, with mastering-grade preamps

  • Sample rate: recorded at up to 192kHz

  • Room: a 20 sqm project studio, acoustically treated, with the control room and live room in one space

What Can Be Recorded

  • Lead and background vocals

  • Small to medium live instruments, including solo piano (recorded via MIDI)

(The room is a compact, 20 sqm project studio, so it's built for vocals and focused instrumental takes rather than a full drum kit.)

Sessions are in person only, at the studio in Rome, Italy. Remote recording sessions aren't currently offered.

  3. Record. Vocals, small to medium instruments, or both, captured through mastering-grade preamps in a treated room.

  4. Leave with your files. Ready for mixing, whether that's with Mike or on your own.
