HOW MIKE APPROACHES SONGWRITING

Every song balances two things: what makes it unmistakably yours, and what makes it actually work. The subjective side is your identity, your voice, your point of view.

The objective side is form and hooks, the structural choices that most successful songs share, whether that's a clear verse-chorus arc or a lyrical, melodic, or rhythmic hook that sticks after one listen.

Feedback works best against real ears, not guesswork. Songs get tested against a small group of trusted listeners, and the notes that come back get folded into specific, actionable revisions rather than vague impressions.

The price listed above for a co-write entails a 50% split on publishing rights. This is negotiable, so ask for custom pricing if needed.

WHO THIS IS FOR

Independent pop, rock, and alternative artists who want a second, experienced opinion on a song before recording it, or who don't have a finished song yet and need one written before moving into production.
